If you want to get a taste of the majestic and spectacular Samaria Gorge but do not quite feel up to the challenge of doing the long hike, this is the right excursion for you!

Imbros Gorge
This gorge, that runs parallel to its bigger neighbour Samaria, is only 8km long and easily accessible also for less experienced hikers or families. The gorge is absolutely beautiful, with lots of opportunities for pictures of the impressive rock formations and the surrounding mountains.
This hike is also ideal for lovers of flora and fauna, a number of rare endemic flowers grow only here. The goats that live in the gorge might be coming up to you to beg for a treat, so come prepared!
Once out of the gorge, you will continue by bus to the South Coast and the beach of Frangokastello. Apart from a shallow, long and sandy beach this area boasts a Venetian Castle with a spooky history right on the coast line.
