Gramvousa Island - Balos Lagoon
Right at the Northwestern tip of the island of Crete, spectacular sights await you: you depart by boat from the port of Kissamos and stop at the island of Gramvoussa. This rugged, uninhabited place was the hideout for pirates and revolutionaries during the Turkish occupation.
You can hike up to the remains of the Venetian castle for a stunning view of the area and the surrounding sea or go for a first swim on its beautiful beach.
Then you continue to the lagoon of Balos, a place of unreal natural beauty. Fine, pink-coloured sand, dunes on the hillside and the most incredible shades of blue and green in the sea.
There are a million photo opportunities, wander about in the warm and shallow waters of the lagoon or just lie back and enjoy the image. A perfect day for beach lovers on Crete's most famous beach awaits you.

Samaria Gorge Long Way
Stretching for some 16 km through the White Mountains, the George of Samaria is one of Europe's longest and wildest. Hiking through the gorge and descending from an altitude of almost 1.000m to sea level is a fantastic experience if you are a nature lover and active person.
Imbros Gorge
This gorge, that runs parallel to its bigger neighbour Samaria, is only 8km long and easily accessible also for less experienced hikers or families. The gorge is absolutely beautiful, with lots of opportunities for pictures of the impressive rock formations and the surrounding mountains.
